A small leather shopping bag handcrafted in the South of France, it belongs to this category of items that we appreciate all the more with time – because the material works, because the shape never goes out of fashion, because the care taken in its manufacture can still be seen years after the purchase.

Compact size for everyday use

Its size – 30 x 24 cm – has been designed for everyday use. Neither too small to become restrictive, nor too bulky to lose its elegance, it holds the essentials with ease: wallet, phone, keys, a pocket book, a lightweight pencil case. Le Roussillon effortlessly follows a day’s work, an outing in town, a Sunday morning market.

Chocolate on vegetable-tanned leather

Chocolate is a color that deserves a closer look. It’s a classic shade: neither too sober to go unnoticed, nor too strong to limit associations. On tanned vegetable leather, it takes on a particular depth, with warm nuances that evolve with use. Vegetable-tanned leather is a living material, which reacts to light, heat and the touch of hands, and gains in character the more it is worn. After a few months, each Roussillon Chocolat will be slightly unique.

Handcrafted in France

They are made entirely by hand, by craftswomen at our partner workshop in the Tarn region of France. The stitching is regular and precise, the cut-outs clean, the full-grain leather handles sewn – not riveted – for long-lasting solidity. The bag features a flat interior pocket, sufficient to organize small essentials without weighing down the structure.

With or without zipper, depending on your use

The Roussillon Chocolat is one of the few colors in the collection to be offered with or without a zipper – an option available only in the Chocolat and Camel colors, on both the Roussillon and Roquebrune sizes. A practical detail that changes everyday use: the closed model is better suited to travel and transport, the open model to those who like quick access to essentials.
