The Uyuni plaid Ecru finish is an alpaca wool plaid hand-woven in the South of France. It combines 85% alpaca and 15% French merino wool, a combination of undyed natural fibers renowned for their fineness and ability to provide soft warmth without heaviness.
Alpacas, bred on the high plateaus of the Andes, develop exceptionally soft fleeces that are both silky and luminous. The fiber is undyed and chemically untreated, preserving its sheen and purity. The Uyuni alpaca wool throw showcases this noble material, reinforced by merino wool for greater suppleness and resistance.
Each plaid is woven in our workshop in the South of France using techniques handed down from generation to generation. This artisanal know-how gives the weaving a lively, natural texture, characteristic of Midipy pieces.
